It’s that time of the year again! Families get together, friends see each other, and everything seems to be just a tiny bit cozier. Your wallet may feel a tad lighter, your pants may seem a little snugger, but it’s all good because it’s the holidays. Whether you were able to travel home this month, or you had to hang tight where you’re at, we know that everyone’s holiday plans look different.
Take us, for example. Just because there are reasons to celebrate, and food to feast on, doesn’t mean we get to sit back and relax. We’re hard at work making updates, expanding access, and bringing new and exciting opportunities to our users. It’s hard to believe that November is already over, so let’s recap what we’ve done this month.
Metal Pay 2.0 Makes an Entrance
Our users have a lot to say about what could be better, and we’ve been listening. One thing you asked for are charts for each cryptocurrency in our state-of-the-art Marketplace, which we rolled out a few weeks ago. Some of you wanted it to be easier to sell all of one cryptocurrency, so we slapped that onto the new design as well. Direct deposits too complicated? Don’t worry, we fixed that too. We’re always looking for new ways to improve our app and your experience, so keep giving us feedback and we’ll keep making things better.

Miss Me With Those Fee-lings
We love MTL as a cryptocurrency. Maybe we’re a little biased, but we think it’s incredibly useful. Which is why we decided to get rid of any fees for buying MTL in our Marketplace. With 0% fees for all MTL purchases, perhaps now’s the perfect time to knock out your holiday shopping – everyone loves getting a bit of crypto in their stockings, right?

Metal X is Ready to Land
Metal Pay made using cryptocurrency simple and fun, but we know some people need a more robust desktop experience with even greater capabilities. That’s why we’ve created Metal X – an easy, capable, and beautiful way to trade digital assets. As excited as we are to open up Metal X to the public, we know our community might be even more excited. Marketplace Adds a Few Products
The Metal Pay Marketplace is pretty great – easy-to-use, mobile-friendly, and sharply designed. Our users have probably started to expect new cryptocurrencies to be added to the line-up, and we’re not about to start disappointing our users. That’s why this month we added two new cryptocurrencies to our Marketplace: DigiByte (DGB) and Komodo Platform (KMD).
DigiByte is a highly secure, intelligently updated, and versatile cryptocurrency designed for a wide audience. Komodo is a cryptocurrency with a rock-solid design, hardened defense against attacks, and a decentralized approach to processing transactions. We think both of these cryptocurrencies are impressive and unique in their own ways, which is why we are thrilled to add them to our growing Marketplace. Android Inches Closer
This month saw the end of Metal Pay for Android Alpha testing, which is a great sign! We’ve also been conducting a Private Beta test of Android, with the data gathered from these tests helping us improve the design and ensure everything is smoother than pumpkin pie. The next step for Android will be Public Beta testing. Stay tuned for an update on that, and get ready to download it to your own phone to help us move Metal Pay for Android towards a finished product.
