Metal acquires Bloks.io

Friday, Aug 21 2020, Los Angeles California. Following its recent acquisition of Lynx, and the launch of its Metal X cryptocurrency exchange, The Metal Neo Bank Payment Platform has acquired Bloks.io, the leading Block Explorer and Dev Team for EOSIO.

With over 10,000 Daily Active Users, Bloks.io is the home page for the EOSIO universe, servicing EOS, WAX, Telos and 10 other blockchains. The profitable, highly technical company led by Syed Jafri, a former top Ethereum developer, and winner of the $200,000 prize to build an Ethereum VM into EOSIO, will now become part of Metal.

“The vision of Proton and Metal is compelling,” said Syed. “Combining Neo Banking with an ultra-fast blockchain is the future for payments”.

Proton (XPR) is a new Blockchain launched in May, and currently trading on Bithumb, OKEx, and other exchanges. It is being deeply integrated into the Metal Pay IOS and Android apps.

With the acquisition of the Bloks team, it will also be integrated into Collectables an NFT Marketplace as well.

“Syed brings another world-class developer to the Metal platform”, said Marshall Hayner, CEO of Metal. With the Lynx, Bloks and Metal teams all focused together on the prize of a consumer-friendly crypto payments platform, we have the critical “escape velocity” to bring easy to use crypto to the mainstream.”
